June 27- July 1, 2018 CFA held its Annual Meeting at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia. Folks from around the world attended organizational, information and planning meetings and culminating in the CFA Annual Awards banquet to recognize the cats, the owners, and the exhibitors from the hotly contested 2017-2018 CFA show season.

This event is held every year in different parts of the country and this year it was in our own back-yard! So, it was time for the club to "put on the dog" - pardon the expression.

Cotton States Cat Club members and friends hosted the Hidden Peach Suite where special guests from around the world were treated to some good ol' Southern Charm with all the food prepared by club member Sandy Highlan.

Jo Ann Miksa-Blackwell, CFA Southern Region Annual Chairman, had this to say:

The Hidden Peach Suite was the highlight of the Annual!

As always, Cotton States Cat Club’s attention to decorations and hospitality was incredible. The food was absolutely over the top. But there was something beyond words that will linger forever in the minds of everyone that visited the Peach Suite. We delivered exactly what we promised and more!

Friends were always close by and beverage waiting to be sipped!

The Suite was located on the 10th floor and from the large window, you could see the downtown Atlanta City Scape and it looked just the graphic on the Peach Pin and Commemorative Champagne glasses.

2018 Peach PinIt was as though we had carefully planned for that view to be included. And then within the suite, the great hospitality, the feeling of refuge, comfort and friendship; it felt like you had just come home! In fact, everyone that visited once came back again and again to be embraced by Cotton States’ compassion for what they do best, love and serve people with the purest of intention.

Special thanks to all of Cotton States Cat Club for your dedication and sponsorship, and extra special thanks to Lisa Highlan, Beth Feininger, Beth Postra, Ann Strople and of course Cyndi Lewis for your extra contribution of labor that made it all happen!

Without the Cotton States Cat Club Sponsorship of the Peach Suite, there would not have been the abundance of adult beverages that topped off the festivities. Those Cotton State ladies did a fantastic job from start to finish and while they worked so very hard, the comments I heard again and again after the Annual referred to the Peach Suite and the best-ever and remarks also included of how “smooth” all the arrangements went and how “happy” they felt about the 2018 Atlanta Annual.

Warmest regards, Jo Ann
